Visuals over talent holds more weight in jyp.

Pretty sure this is the case for most groups SM, YG, Bighit, etc.

Even groups that most consider extremely "talented" visual is still the main reason, "talent" is just the cherry on top but could easily do without.

If all kpop companies didnt hold visuals more than talents, then no idols would have to undergo plastic surgery

This is not to say they don't care for visuals or they are genuine because they aren't. They're just less strict
