SM is the best company an idol can debut in.

  • SM is maybe the only company i see that gives each of their idols solo activities when they're in a group and manages them well enough that once their group has passed 7 years each idol has activities they can still do and is still relevant in. it helps that SM own many of the top variety shows that idols go on.

  • That should be obvious at this point.

  • If I were to audition for a company it would be the big 3 and eventually hybe or nothing

yeah there's shit that goes on but at least you're almost guaranteed success and pay.

  • agree

at least i seems they made some improvement on the way they treat their artist

wendy had 1 year to rest after her accident, even if she was ready before, they still gave her more time to rest

Taeyeon is a successfull solo artist, they could use her to overwork her and make her do tons of activities but it seems that they prefer to let her live at her own rythm

and even Jungwoo had the opportunity to take a break with his mental health

i'm glad they improve about the treatment of their idols

and yes if you want to have a great career in a group and have a great solo career, SM seems to be the best one

  • I totally agree every single SM artist had at least one album under the name not every company does this (cough cough Yg entrainement ) and mostly there idols are pretty successful entertainers or actors

  • totally. sm made lipsynching acceptable too. it is easier to promote in music shows and perform in concerts since you just have to dance and lipsynch.

  • big 3 privilege does wondwers!

plastic surgery can also make you look super good.

  • totally. sm made lipsynching acceptable too. it is easier to promote in music shows and perform in concerts since you just have to dance and lipsynch.

And ironically it is not SM artists that benefited from normalising lipsynching, since all SM groups are very proficient live singers. It's rather groups from certain other companies that should thank LSM day and night for normalising lipsynching and saving them the embarrassment of showing their real singing skills in the regular :pepe-smug:

  • Yes, how many idols have long, successful careers past their idol days? It alone speaks for how good a company it is.

  • Yeah, they have a track record of looking after the artists that are loyal to them.

Even members that can't promote for various reasons are still on their paycheck.

examples, Suju Kangin, Sungmin, Exo Chen etc

Some of their trainers etc are ex idols too (that vocal trainer from Idol School was in Blackbeat, as was one of their dance instructors)

  • imaging being a company stan. lmao
