For new artist no. Theoretically if IZ*ONE solo debuts count, why not Blackpink members?

Different situations though. IZ*One is gone. These members are debuting as permanent soloists without any other group attachment. Real question but has any idols been nominated in the past for Best New Artist when they did solo work while simultaneously still being a member of a group? I looked up some of the MAMA history and I can't seem to find any. Not even Jennie when she released Solo.

They surely had amazing years as solos, both did amazing for a debut

If I was to vote, I would vote for Yuri because she had the better album imo

Wizones, Blinks and Exols are gonna have the hardest time voting that for sure lol

Maybe because they're part of Blackpink and Eunbi and Yuri are permanent solo artistes but it still doesn't make sense though
