probably not

I think their experimental music wouldn’t be as liked if they weren’t from sm.
But other groups also wouldn’t be as successful if they were in different labels. Blackpink would never have debuted in SM as they’re not good singers or dancers. Twice would have faded away as just another snsd clone if they weren’t in JYP. Red velvet dual concepts would be treated how groups like loona and their lore stuff is, fans might like it but everyone else skips.

I think they would do fine in the end but it would take them longer to have some popularity

aespa will never be successful
They already are, cope

yes, all rounders will go far regardless of the agency

As idol singers? Yeah I think they'll definitely succeed. They have the vocals to back it up, and they're all very attractive in their own ways. Big3 just gives whatever trainees a more privilege and people hyped up debut because of branding. It'll just take them some times to gain popularity that's all.

yes but it would take more time for them to become popular. They wouldn't have that much succes in their debut year
-
Quite possibly
-
-
depends on which surgeon worked on them

-
they will eventually but not as fast

I don't know. I think their vocals are a bit over-hyped. Yeah their songs let them go for the high notes, but the high notes in question are strained for and shrill some of the time - and that's on record, the best they could achieve in studio and with effects. I don't think they'd have been another Mamamoo in a smaller company.
-
a group which dances like robots to make up for lack of skills and no expressions will never become popular if not for big company backing them. Not singing even once in your career would lead to their career being shortened. Untalented groups can't be popular if they are not from big company. Small company groups can't depend on remix of older songs to make them popular. That is big 4 privilege. Everything points to aespa being popular because of company privilege.

Yes, best vocals and visuals in 4th gen.
As popular this early? Unlikely.

but still they are better than most of the 4th gen groups let's be real, not to mention they are the youngest among the 4th gen gg to debut (a bit over a year old) but already have a better vocal tone and technique than most of the 4th gen gg already

Quick name 3 4th gen ggs touching aespa vocals I need a laugh.
How do you people with all your chest make posts like this when literally Karina is leagues ahead of other main vocals. She engages her diaphragm something that 90% of 4th gen "main vocals" either don't do at all or struggle with. Hell even Giselle is same tier as them girls.

Aespa vocally are competing with 3rd gen. They're above twice and Blackpink and on par with Red Velvet.

I agree for their dreams come true MV
their Karina's voice starting out almost didn't sound like it came from the video considering their hard looks beforehand. I would have much appreciated if ningning started out with a segment of powersinging or giselle with a cypher. But even then their voices tend to go high, not wide.
Their lack or this kind of versatility could be a restriction from the producers of the songs or their own voices but their current trajectory says to me that they are lacking a sort of "defense song" where they boost their image with a prestige song and lyric.
A stereotypical prestige/defense song is Wengie's Empire, and a more extreme example would be BM's 13ivi and Lisa's Lalisa.
Aespa's Savage is also built like one but it only refers to Aespa within the context of Kwangya and then flips around and sings the praises of Nævis and how she helped them.
I recognize that if they do sing a sort of prestige song in reference to reality, that's going to be a tough sell especially when Aespa is still so far in the SMCU; they are going to have to change an era concept like how AleXa did her I'll never let you go.
I'm not saying that Aespa has to go and sing a song like 13ivi or even in reference to IRL Aespa but they do have to address their fanbase to say that they have the skill, resources, and power to stay and stand their ground instead of saying they could crush a hater in the kwangya.
