holyyyyyy the MV is a lot to process... some bits are cool and the avatars were cool for a bit (different than what other groups are offering right now in kpop) but the whole Winx club moment ruined the mv... SM is not a small label that they don't have budget for better productions... their MV's need refinement.
Next Level was jarring but the two distinct portions in the song are strong.. you had the catchy hook, nice vocals and choreo in the main part and then when it switches you had some good rapping... even though it's still jarring I enjoy the song...
With savage there are many distinct portions but not able to hold their own... neither does it flow well as one song and neither has distinct portions. The rap portions could have been good but they made it high pitched... it took away the effectiveness some of the lines had...
Pretty sure Koreans will vibe to it but I somehow feel the song would do better down the lane in their career and came in too soon.
The choreo is really good and goes well with the song.. Karina because of her stature and fits dominates... Winter and Ning Ning have really nice vocals (but I feel the last portion of the song is unnecessary). Nice to see more of Giselle but wish they didn't have high-pitched rapping... I really liked her and Karina rapping in Nextlevel.
Edit: I wanted to add that the bridge was awesome
