life will always be hard no matter the era or time period. it's about valuing the great times while also accepting the lessons and strength you gain during the hard times.
considering issues such as climate change, overpopulation, and political struggles, i can see it being better to not have children. that also depends on where you are in the world.

No, even though I would do my very best toake sure to raise them properly, I'm very afraid of them turning out being a genuinely bad person despite my efforts (look at all the poor parents that end up with criminal sons/daughters even though they raised them up with love and care). I would really like to support at least one kid financially through a trustworthy program tho, if I have enough money why not share it?

No. I already thought about it even before climate change stuff and talks about sustainability or because of economic reasons. Some people shouldn't have kids and this is the case for me. I have a nephew and niece and they are more than enough.
