Why is Next Level downloads weird?

It's really hard to find information in English, but I found that Melon, Genie and Bugs have streaming + 30 downloads passes. But no artist releases 30 songs per month, so the remaining downloads are either bound to get lost or to go to someone else. I couldn't find if you can buy songs individually like on iTunes.

Edit: on Bugs you can buy a download-only pack.

Edit2: apparently on Bugs you can buy individual songs for 700 won.

Whether it’s hard core fandoms or regular fandoms it takes time to amass. And the fandom referenced in this thread by me was that type of fandom.

I mean I guess you can download an album? So I guess that’s like 2-4 albums to download

The question posed by the thread has been answered. Recent downloads are low relative to streams because the song is about 3.5 months old. People only download a song once but they keep on streaming, so downloads fall faster than streams. It's like how the ratio between views and likes increases over time on YouTube.

You just noticed the disconnect because NL has maintained its popularity for so long.
