I think that it's great they are showing us more colors, and also girls revealed that Stereotype is first song which they received from Black Eyed Pilseung, I mean first even long before So Bad, so it's probably very meaningful for them, and they seem excited to be finally able to promote it...

It's possible i will end up liking Stereotype. Sometimes teasers dont reflect the final product.
But how can you say retro and disco are overused when hiphop, rap and RnB exist? Those genres are 10000000000000x more overused than retro and disco. I can count maybe 10 group retro songs (Latida, Star, ICSM, Dun Dun Dance, Mago, So Bad, and a few others) over the past 12 months, meanwhile there were probably 200 hip hop songs released.

if producers themselves don't stick to one concept, and one genre of music then it's obvious they want to use their own music in best way so they just feed us with different type of songs.

To add: the members also helped produce other songs before they formed their duo. That include: Now, Trouble Maker by Trouble maker, Bubble pop, Roly Poly and a lot more. They are literally so versatile.
