Are Kpop groups allowed to perform in Taiwan?

Yes. They can perform in both Taiwan and Hong Kong. Just not mainland.

Taiwan is self governed and not a part of China so there is no reason that Kpop Idols can't performed there

yes, maybe not now bc of covid but a lot of groups with Chinese members perform there with no problem pre-pandemic except twice for obv reasons

So it is definitely smaller than SK, but not a small market.

I think having to deal with the whole Taiwan is part of China so groups may face angry comments in China and may affect future tours in China (if they are allowed back).

It may also be an issue for Chinese members from the mainland, the politics could get messy.
