Forever Young is the best song to showcase both the Black and Pink sides of BP

If you think about it, Forever Young really showcases both sides of BP in one song. That's why I wouldn't really consider it 'Black' or 'Pink', it's both.

Like at first you think 'Yeah, this is a Pink song', with the summer party and tropical vibes, like a song suited for summer. But closer to the end of the song, the sun comes down, and then the instrumental starts getting more hardcore, similar to the 'Black' concepts we all know and love. And then the "WHATABUMBUM WHATABUMBUM" is similar to the onomatopoeia used in BP's previous 'Black' concept songs, like BOOMBAYAH, D4, etc.

I also kind of look at this like LSG and BBY in the sense that we get both sides of a coin. There's a fun, girly vibe to these songs but they also have elements that play into a hardcore sound at different parts of the songs.

Probably why these are some of my favorite songs from them! There's a good balance.

this reminds, i always wondered what songs people would consider a "BLACKPINK" song, just like how some would think other songs were either BLACK or PINK in terms of visual concepts or vibes it gives off.

i would agree halfway agree with this, even with my 1st original thoughts saying that this was a PINK song because of the lightheartedness thoughout it.

i would say at this moment the top BLACKPINK song would be "Lovesick Girls". it has this grungy roughness but theres also this underlining soft feeling of vulnerability + emotion that balances it out. plus, the fact that it was released after "HYLT" (BLACK as all get out) + "Ice Cream" (which to this day feels like their proper shade of PINK, with all the sweet sass they always embody as a group.).

I would agree but I also hate the first half of the song before the beat change.

Tbh I think As if it's your last did a good job of this, as well.

It is among my top 3 favourite bp song.

when i was new to kpop and first listened to that song, i was obsessed.i used to listen to it everyday in morning while getting ready for school for months lol.
