its because sm botches their promotional pictures with weird effects and photoshop
i found ningning looking hella bloated and weird in this one pic idk where it was from but in videos she looks pretty similar to jennie + soojin (a huge compliment coming from a jennie biased blink)
and then theres angle. her face is round but at the right angle it looks like karinas face shape idk what its called. heres two pics from the same day, same outfit.
my guess is that you like one of the angles and dont like the other. also like jennie, she seems to get bloated easily which you might not like

1. idols edit the heck out of their photos, not really idols but companies, 2. plastic surgery is everywhere now, SM makes all of their idols get work done, not saying that that makes Aespa ugly, cause their my ULTS. But I get why some people feel like they look a bit weird? I mean I see them all as visuals, but with all the snow and editing apps it can be too much. 3. Angles, not much explaining here.
Like for example, Karina's jaw kind of looks unnatural because of how shaved down she got it, I still think she's beautiful, but it is a bit off.
