Have you ever had a computer virus/malware?

Once I thought I was gonna lose my computer due to a virus

It turns out that it wasn't a virus

Just a bunch of cat hair stuck to the computer fan

Felt more embarrassed when the guy from the store said that

Don't know if I would've wanted to lose a computer due to porn or cat hair lol

But yeah my first computer crashed cuz I was downloading random things I found interesting (sims), basic kid shit

So a few months after I got internet I catched one cause nobody told me what antivirus is and that I would even need it ... The guy who repaired my computer and even tried to restore my old data to a new drive saw my old background of some Japanese musician I liked 10 years ago and he got it totally wrong and thought this was from an anime ...

So a few months later I got forced to live with his mother (odd reasons) for like 2 months and as I stayed at his mom's place she payed me for cleaning her driveway ... and he came up to me cause even tho he was almost 30 he still lived in her house and he was like "ey remember the PC I repaired?" I was like: "Eh yeah?" and he simply just said, no fucking joke: "I saw your screen's background and so I thought: wow she must likes anime and so I just wanted to ask, what are animes you watch and like?" I didn't really watched anime back than so I simply just said "eh pokemon?" And than he was like: "You don't perhaps watch One Piece or Dragon Ball?" I was like: "Nope" than he ran away xD I was 16 back than ... oh my god IDK what that even was back than ...

For sure I've had. Does it mean I've found it? No.

I had one on an old desktop once, it was a Trojan virus and it killed my computer. My daughter was playing a lot of games on it plus I didn’t have antivirus back then, but fortunately have never had one since on my laptop as I regularly do virus scans.

Yes once or twice way back when I first got into computers and internet (early 2000's).

yes but like almost a decade ago when I was around 10 years old? young children need to be careful on the Internet lol
