Asian woman criticizes women for having high standards

  • I've been on Allkpop since 2016. So I know him from way back.

For what it's worth I think Teshhubs is perfectly fine.

He's a character. Sure. Like a lot of us are.

He has his eccentricities. His obsessions

His pet topics and odd convictions.

Says a lot of things I don't agree with.

But that seems to come with the territory. Especially for long time users.

    We all have our particularities.

I just think Teshubs rubs some people wrong.

But as you say. Live and let live.

  • How about both? Both contribute to the overall objectification and disrespect. None of it should be normalized.

You might not think it doesn't affect anything at all, but it causes a ripple effect and influences even younger generations.

Never discredit wrong behavior just because it's not at the "top of the chain."

It depends on the degree. There's millions of fanfics, fanart, and sexual ideas regarding celebrities all over the internet, that if they looked at it they would be creeped out. But it's a futile attempt trying to stamp out all these because it's human nature and everyone knows this is part and parcel of what makes "celebrity worship" entertainment profitable. If people honestly cared about the moral aspect they would be heavily restricting it like in China or Iran. Rather, focus on the incidents that go beyond a certain limit:

    > stalker behavior

    > obsession involving minors

    > sexual deepfakes

  • respectfully disagreeing with this and will 4evar be a teshub anti

i think you have a good heart and think that everyone does too in a way but maybe some people are just obvious a-holes yk? i dont think he has any redeeming qualities

I respect that. Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to defend him or say he's this epitome of a gentleman. After the issue was brought up, I was trying to see ways for him to change based on things that I see as "good starts." Example: He hates racists and misogynist, entitled men. My guess was that maybe he had the right intentions, but is overly cynical and just ends up expressing himself very poorly.

The guy had me confused for the longest time. He's not a troll who says stuff just to get a reaction either, although people seem to write him off as "just a troll." But the fact that he isn't "just a troll" makes me take this more seriously.

Wasn't aware of his past prior to the threads that I've seen in recent times, so forgive me if it seems like I'm like I'm condoning anything problematic I was unaware of.

Hope he learns and gets himself together. A lot of people aren't self-aware until others make them aware. If there's anything that comes out of all of this, it's that he should reflect deeply and honestly, asking if this is the impact he wants to make.
