Do you believe that people should at least do the thing themselves they are always preaching about to others?
Practice what you preach

I've noticed when I try to practice what I preach, I tend to give excuses for my behavior while finding faults in others for the same behavior. This is something that I need to work upon.
My self loving self has to say that at least I recognize this behavior which is nice and the first step

That’s normal, we ain’t perfect. It only becomes a problem if it happens all the time. Than it makes you a hypocrite. But like you said, if you can recognize it, it’s the first step. Means you got enough self awareness!

True, It's also a problem when we fail to recognize it imo.
As Humans we can never be perfect, we can always try to become better.
I'm as close to perfect as anyone can get so I don't need to worry

I believe people should stick to their word and not be hypocrites. Not tell others to do things they wouldn’t be prepared to do themselves.

Exactly! In fact, one of my personal golden rules is to NOT practice what I preach. As a wise man once told me, "sell the gospel but never buy it yourself."
