So in my first period class there a guy who sits behind me and on the first day of third semester, I think he was playing footsie with my feet at least two times. Today he just did it one time and I didn't response to it. So tomorrow I'm hoping I can at least say hi and get to know him. But the thing is I'm scared of being in a relationship and how people will view me and my partner later in life.

ohhhhhh~~ lucky you, honestly I don't know what to say, first, you should ask people how he is. I once helped my friend cause some boy was hitting on her so I acted like I wasn't her friend (I love her tho I would never hate her) and he told me it was just for her body so immediately told her about what happened. But since its so sudden you should take it slow, for example, just start out as friends and after a long time you should how that relationship ends up. If i were you though don't take my word, I know no relationship advice.

if this is going to be your first relationship - its ok to be scared - its perfectly natural - if its not its also ok to be scared.
what do you mean how people will view you? it'll make a good story i guess if you end up with him longterm but instead of thinking so far out treat it just a date or a casual thing don't think that this relationship is the be all and end all - just have fun with it.
Like you said just say hi and have a conversation - maybe he's a dumbass and can't hold his own - maybe he's intelligent enough to engage in a meaningful conversation - just talk but more importantly listen (Listening > talking, we have one mouth but two ears) and if you like his personality in addition to his looks then proceed further.

I'm thinking the same thing I like to take things slow. Thanks :) also I barely have friends anyway. I never dated before so I'm going to be very cautious.
