Oh yeah I've noticed that too most korean YouTube reaction channels rank her #1 in beauty. I was shocked cuz I India her looking youthful is seen as a bad thing but in sk they love her looks. She has a few sk fanbases and my cousin who lives in sk has a friend who's a president of one of those.

People still like girls like her in India, that's why she's super popular (and Juhi Chawla was popular back in the day for having a baby face too). But I do agree that Deepika is more famous for her beauty here and she has a more mature face.

India is such a diverse country though. We have people who look different - some people paler than pale with huge features (esp in the Kashmir region), some people with traditional East Asian features (North-East part of India), and some with beautiful dark skin etc. Western media only propagates one type of Indian face when our country is so diverse.

Whenever I see alia I feel like they marketed her wrong. She looked so beautiful and mature in roles like kalank and in the songs of that Pakistani spy movie. Instead of the girl next door she should take on roles like this. It suits her more imo.

at the end of the day though, none of those actresses barring Deepika and Priyanka have achieved even half of her success or are as good as she is.
Also, people consider her beautiful in India still. Maybe not goddess level, but my mom says she likes her the best because looking at her makes her feel happy. She doesn’t think Deepika looks pretty.
And I remember all the guys around me going crazy for her when she debuted with Student.
