I agree. That notion hinders kpop. Also groups like mamamoo don't show any interest in promoting internationally. Sk gets to keep all the good stuff.
I don't think it's kpop idols's job to prove that westerners' ( frankly xenophobic ) prejudices against them are wrong

Britney spears at her peak never sang live. But was greatest performer of 2000s.
So why to question Kpop artists? ( not you but general )
Atleast they are way much better performers than western acts. And even westerners know kpop acts are better performers.
