I live in India and its summer the entire 365 days. So we wear cottons and linens and other breathable fabrics
The top is called a Kurta and the bottoms are roomy cotton pants.
We have the ubiquitous sarees
andals are Sandals are preferred in summer
As for men, they just wear a plaid shirt and jeans. The place I live in, the men are not really fashionable.
