That's just multiculturalism
What is your opinion on foreign foods being adapted/modified for a country's mainstream tastes instead of being exactly like the country of origin?

Bunch of us guys went River Rafting and Camping. One brought Burritos his mother made for everyone. It was most delirious Burrito I and others have ever eaten. We were used to retail versions of Burritos in comparison were dry and bland tasting.
I can't stomach some truly Asian foods. I could eat an appropriated version, but not the original.

I live in Houston which is a gigantic melting pot of cultures with a huge Asian community.
One of Houstons semi-famous locally grown food style is Vietnamese Crawfish... its a fusion from the Vietnamese community of Louisiana cajun style Crawfish and Vietnamese flavors. Completely awesome ( and generally really spicy!)
Houston has perhaps the greatest Vietnamese cuisine in the US!

It's great. If anything, that's how new foods are created. It shows that people are open-minded enough to try out something new even if it means they have to change a few things to please their taste buds.
Fusion cuisine combines elements of different culinary traditions from various countries, cultures, or regions.
It's quite common and there's nothing wrong with it.
