What explains the difference between views of these viral songs- Up n down, Bboom bboom, Rollin?

Well there is a high chance that Rollin' had less than a million views before the viral moment and it hasn't been that long since Rollin went viral. For Bboom Bboom it has been almost 4 years right? So obviously it would have more views. Exid, I don't know that song but probably the same thing.

All these songs went viral but comparing their Youtube views- Bbboom bboom has 500 million views which is huge; Up n down has 100 million views while Rollin has 5 million views. What do you think is the reason for huge difference between their views? is bboom bboom more catchy than others? Or many international kpoppers are still unaware that Rollin went viral. Personally i like up n down the best out of them.

A song going viral in Korea only has little impact on YT views. Plus, Rollin success was triggered by a fan edit of the song, therefore it's this unofficial version that earned all the views. This video sits currently at 19M views which is roughly 4 times what the official MV scored.

To be honest, when I search for Rollin' on youtube I don't know what video I'm supposed to click

up & down and bboom bboom were made by more (at the time) popular groups.

It's kinda obvious isn't it. Boom boom and up and down were much more popular with ifans hence the view while Rollin is only taking over Korea

Rollin is more popular domestically and not as much internationally, and song like that don't really get a lot of YT views.

A lot of views actually goes to the viral video sitting at 19mil

Bboom Bboom was a huge hit in Asia, a lot from Philippines I think? These type of songs tend to get a lot of streams from Asian fans

Up & Down is like an in-between. All songs are hugely popular domestically and internationally and it goes like this

Domestically: Rollin > Bboom Bboom/Up & Down

Internationally: Bboom Bboom > Up & Down > Rollin

Songs that do well internationally gets a lot of YT views, songs that do well domestically get tons of streams on their music platforms

Bboom Bboom is more recent and more popular internationally

Rollin has a number of versions and even tho it is appreciated overseas, it went viral in Kora especially
