Taste of Love’s Title Track and M/V comes out on Wednesday and the album on Friday

  • But if they focus on western for the title track, it might harm their domestic charting

See ITZY has yet to crack top 10 (amid heavy competition)

If they really cared about domestic charting, they would've just stuck to a Monday release. And honestly, TWICE has already slayed the charts and shown their power so why not just expand it to the West. It's not like Korea's been appreciating their recent sound as much lately. I CAN'T STOP ME debuted in like the 30s and peaked just under the Top 10.

  • Hmmm maybe the don’t want twice to do too bad on kcharts& japan so they’re doing it 50-50.. I think they’ll get good results in both markets this way.. it’s summer and ggs songs are doing well and bb200 is almost secured for them and might be a very high position too... I think it will do them good let’s wait and see

If Im JYP, it is logical to make Twice focus on domestic when i have ITZY for the west. Could be just my thinking, but isnt that make more sense? Especially ITZY's achievement in the west currently.

And no for Monday release with physical on friday. The gap looks so desperate, like desperate to get good charting position / music shows win. Dont think JYP wanna go so low.

  • I just want to say the day of release is not really important on kcharts. If the song does well it'll be reflected on the next week charts. The time its released at matters more.

Actually it matters. The number of tracking days matter for weekly chart + music show.

It will be reflected as their first week Gaon chart position and determine music show wins in first week. But likely Twice will be able to sweep cause no strong competitor on physical.

What difference did it make to itzy at the end? The song got to a decent peak like not shy. Itzy won music shows too. Only initial charting looked bad. It doesn't matter honestly. If the song does well it'll be reflected in the next weeks chart.

  • Maybe mainly because of their relationship with mnet. They want to have the first comeback stage on mcountdown. They even didn't perform Fancy on award show to make sure that the first comeback stage would be on mcountdown.

Itzy skipped it on their first week comeback and go straight to music bank because their song released in friday.

    But that's just my assumption.
