Why do bg's sing with falsetto the older they get?

it has nothing to do with age I think it has to do with technique they are improving their singing and try to hit higher notes

Well I think that that for some people hitting that high note is the main goal. And the song , I don't think War Of Hormone would go well with a high voice nor Dynamite with low notes.

Throwback falsettos galore!

I would attribute to two factors: better technique and changes in their dancing.

When groups start out, they are still mastering their craft, and while many have the potential to do falsetto, they do not have the experience and technique to control it. Most are also still grasping the basics - there are many singers who still don't have the basics down pat. As they get older and meet more producers and artists, they may choose to continue to expand their range through technique and training.

The second is that many vocalists are not dancers when they start out, but you can see that even beyond training, the actual years they spend performing can increase their dancing ability. Now that they are less focused on trying to manage the dancing, they can focus on the vocals again.

Finally, there is a preference in kpop for a tenor voice (likely to appeal to the key demographic). As groups and fans age up, there seems to be more willingness to explore the textures of singers' voices, from slow jam falsettos to sultry low tones.

Just to snag a few examples:

- This is the top example - Baekhyun was always capable of hitting high notes and well, but he has continued his vocal training to sustain his voice through a longer career and is now reaching notes that he may not have been able to reach well many years ago. He is also an experienced enough artist to get the training and technique, as well as understanding how to protect that vocal ability. He is also one who has improved tremendously as a dancer and is quite a great dancer now.

- Jaehyun has always been able to reach a falsetto, but he also continued to hone his technique through training to be able to carry it with greater stability and projection (as even the producers noted during his recording on Resonance behind the scenes).

The male pitch do get higher when you get older... after 50.

Singing in falsetto is the correct vocal technique and strains the vocal chords less than belting out high notes.
