In what scenario, if any, is it okay to lie?

lying is always okay, in any scenario

I don’t like to lie, but I’ll only do it if won’t hurt someone’s feelings or prevent an argument.

When you know the truth would destroy their motivations and everything they've worked for.

Lying during a war, lying to end a heated arguments, lying for the good/happiness of your loved one.

Other than that, Its just a sin.

I would say if you are put in a situation in which your life is in danger

If you feel threatened...

For instance, someone sketchy asks you where you live or someone on the internet that you don't trust asks you, you should lie about it if you feel uncomfortable.

Also, someone asking for your personal information on the internet or something. There are certain things that you shouldn't share at all.

It isn’t. Honesty is the best policy. I was raised to be honest.

When you are in danger
