Should the next global threat be aliens or something else?

Well if you only count 15 countries most hit by covid then you will get a total death toll of around 2.400.000

now if you count the time in which it happened I think we can assume it was one year...

then if you would take a look at the average of total deaths during WW I per year the number will be very close.

so probably the last time when there were more deaths in the world than in 2020-2021 was during WW II, and the same numbers were during WW I. So yeah corona hit us hard... and people are still dying in different things, other illnesses, car accidents, etc.

As for what you ask about.

I think the next threat will be some dumbass using a nuclear weapon, or another old nuclear reactor failure.

If not these then probably civil war in one of biggest countries - USA, China or Russia. Or military conflict on bigger scale which will involve few countries.

If not these then big part of glacier cutting out of ice mass and moving towards some X place.

If not these then big volcano eruption.

If not these then big earthquakes,

if not these then land split like the one which is already started to happen in the Horn of Africa
