Does high album sales makes you more interested in a group?

I think album sales do generally indicate a group is more well known/relevant- however that isn't what makes me interested in a group.
-
It may make me check them out quicker because that means they'll probably get more exposure, but when it comes to becoming a fan it's about the music.

i stanned bp before they had a physical album out so definitely not

Nah I'm more into members cohesiveness as a group their personalities and their music
-
in around about way yes...
one might be not necessarily more interested but let's say a nugu group suddenly comes out of nowhere to sell 1m albums that will make big news and thus get recognition...
and I'm sure someone has done it but if you take BG and GG and compare their album sales v likelihood of disbandment then you might find that it's highly correlated...
if you don't sell or don't chart then...(well) you don't survive)

Ofc, what is a success stan without sales to brag about? It may get me interested to check their music. If I have to start somewhere I better start with the most popular first.
But in the end what matters is the music.
