Hmm I am still wary I won't lie. I know they want to perform there and I will always support their decisions but sports fans are horrendous through and through. BTS performing at Super Bowl would be a massive breakthrough.

The majority of people watching the Super Bowl (white men) do not know who BTS are. If you make them sit through 15 minutes of songs they don't know and can't understand, they will riot. The backlash from the dude bros and conservative networks like Fox News would be tremendous. Why would you wish that on them?

I don't know if I want BTS to be subjected to that. The crowd inside the stadium isn't the most kpop-friendly part of America.

Also in this case I think it might be more a case of xenophobia ( = they are not americans ) than racism. All the black artists who performed were americans citizens.
