I'm a light fan, so this is just my observations of girl groups nowadays
I'm writing this subjectively, and not everything is positive
So if you get easily triggered, don't read this
1. aespa
- Everyone is getting prettier and prettier, the entire group is made out of beauties (hardworking beauties)
- For their songs selection, it would be better to leave it up to SM instead of aespa
- They pull off the Korean/Japanese (East Asian) vibe better than the American vibe
- Compared to their debut songs, their songs now are a bit lacking
- Liz and Rei found their best styling and they've been looking amazing
- Their solos did a lot less noise than I thought, but Gaeul's solo was my favorite
- Communities act like they've violated their contract and are swearing at them, but in reality people don't really care...?
- People claim they're forgotten, but the moment there's a post about them, their buzz factor is so good
- Danielle's withdrawal was freaking random and unexpected
(+ During their 1 year of hiatus, they got so many trolls entering the fandom.. I wonder why their fandom even bothered with legal actions..)
- The members all seem hardworking and are likable
- Lily's high notes are a bit too intense sometimes so it's unpleasant to listen to
- Rather than people's "favorite" group, they give off the image of people's "2nd favorite" group
- They're also pushed as a talented group, but Ahyeon's high notes are too much..
- Asa's vibe is so good, she's a Japanese but her rap are freaking good too
- I'm shocked that P a n n is stanning Ruka so much
+ You can tell they're from YG with how popular they are overseas
6. LE SSERAFIM
- Spaghetti's concept was kinda tacky, but also refreshing and nice
- Their singing skills is just... Not seeing any improvements... And the way they're so shameless makes them even more guilty - The fandom is at least 80% responsible for their bad image
7. ILLIT
- Their magical girls concept is so cute and suits them, they pick their songs well
- Wonhee's 'national dongsaeng''s image is being pushed so much that it's getting too obvious and annoying
- Belift Lab's action must truly be a pain for their fans
(Yunah's nostrils are a bit too visible sometimes, but she's so pretty I'm looking forward to her getting a concept that will suit her)
