MHJ might have lost but she won

  • In 1851, there was a huge civil war in China, called the Taiping rebellion.

Although not well known outside of China, it killed about 40 million , and was the second most destructive war in history after World War 2.

Long story short, Hong Xiuquan, a ne'er do well in the backwater province of Kwangsi, suddenly declared he was the younger brother of Jesus, and founded a new religion mixing Christianity and Chinese traditional beliefs. People were poor and resentful of the Manchu rulers and so Hong's rebellion gained traction.

Hong had five important lieutenants , but two of them died fighting the governmental forces. In 1853, Hong's forces took Nanking and Hong crowned himself as the Heavenly King, equivalent to Emperor.

But the Manchus were still going strong in Peking, and although some suggested to go to Peking to get rid of the Manchu Emperor, Hong and Yang, his chief lieutenant, got enamored by the riches of Nanking and decided to stay there.

While the Manchus were regaining strength, the lieutenants began fighting for power in Nanking. Hong, the leader, became dependent upon Yang, and Wei, another lieutenant , got jealous of it and one day slaughtered Yang and all of his followers.

Then wei began to act like Yang, controlling Hong. Hong got suspicious and asked Shi, the last remaining lieutenant, to go and kill Wei, which Shi did.

However, knowing that Shi would be next, Shi decided to leave Hong . Shi's crack forces left Hong, weakening the rebellion decisively . (Shi fought the Manchus on his own until captured and killed in 1863)

This inter-civil war, a civil war within a civil war, is called the Tianjing incident (Tianjing was the nane the taipings gave to Nanking) of 1856.

That decisively discredited the Taipings by the elites; although it began with a messianic zeal, they showed that they were no more than power hungry vultures by killing each other with a vigor not seen fighting the Manchus.

After that , having lost all his lieutenants, Hong became irrelevant and the rebellion was taken over by a chap named Li Xiucheng, who continued it until 1864 when Li was killed (Hong died before), but by that time any chance for the rebels to overthrow the Manchus had passed.

Min Heejin's rebellion against Bang began on 2024, when Hybe, for reasons which will only be known to Bang himself and maybe Kim Namjun, decided to abandon BTS' world conquest and began to send them to the military, a decision which will be taught in business schools for years to come.

The correct decision was to abandon Korea , leave everything in there to Min Heejin, and move BTS to outside of Korean jurisdiction.

Failing that, enlisting the older members and continuing the tour with a few less members would have been the correct choice.

The last option was to destroy domestic opposition, like the Owner of Edam Entertainment and aespa (which Bang did order MHJ to step over, which MHJ did to some degree) and kill any other opinion.

Bang did none of them and enjoyed being a tycoon in Korea.

As a result Hybe stagnated and MHJ's rebellion occurred.

Thanks to MHJ, BTS' world domination is gone, and Suga and JK have been decisively damaged. Suga is still scolded for the scooter incident, and JK has descended to the level of a Kim Minjeong, unknown in the west.

Hybe will never have the chance to conquer the world again and Bang himself has been discredited, while Danielle Marsh, now no longer bound by Hybe, will find some way to strike her own destiny.

MHJ might lose the lawsuits but she decisively hurt Hybe so she got what she aimed for. Bang lost way more than what he would have lost by accomodating MHJ's demands.

  • His honor fell to rock bottom, especially after the Fruity Seyeon fiasco.

You are correct that Hybe is in a survival mode. This BTS comeback is the last gasp - do or die.

    Bang to MHJ and JK

"It was said that you would crush Aespa, not join them!"

  • Are you sure he lost? some people have different ideas about what a “victory” is.

    s3tD71w.png

The term Pyrrhic Victory comes from Pyrrhus, a ruler in Greece.

He went to Italy to fight the Romans, and although he won victories most of the time, his losses for so large that he said "with another victory I would be done for".

Since his realm was small and the losses could not be replaced, he had to return to his realm .

Bang might be legally victorious against MHJ, but he permanently lost Korea, and his weakness has been exposed to the entire world.

It means winter came from wherever Jungkook was, and what they did before is not hard to guess

even then, relying so much on bts (for huge investements and other power moves) isn't sustainable.

they have FAILED at making another bts. and i don't think they will ever achiev smth like that, because so many creatives and workers who were part of it aren't even in hybe or big hit anymore.

bango is deluded into thinking that bts success relied so much on him. it didn't.

apart of making shady deals and bying bots, and producing washed out ctrl music, he a good at nothing dozen.

  • Bango did invest in some outfits not familiar for Kpop fans

so this will be paying for his parties.

Still Bang's days as the bigwig of Pop appear to have ended. This tour is the last dance, which might be it is so extensive. The next tour, if there is any (unlikely since the members will be thinking about their own lives by then) is BTS' last dance and after that it will be quite interesting

  • What did you think of the BTS tour announcement? Three shows in Goyang and two more in Busan. There are still more dates to be confirmed, but it's speculated that there will be two or three more shows in Goyang to conclude the tour

Without the Senior Singer they would not have wasted 5 days in Korea

I do not understand why they waste 2 days in Pusan other than to try to prevent the Senior Singer topping its record in Korea

    2027 is another story.
