As the year begins to draw to a close, what's been your favourite K-hiphop album of the year? I'm curious to know, so post it below.
For me, I think it's SS-POP by System Seoul

I've been utterly obsessed with this album. System Seoul is a collective of 4 rappers (hawks, sn7, ycs and MUNZi) rather than a traditional group (think Drain Gang), but they've started making massive waves in the Korean underground this year releasing and performing together as System Seoul (and have released not 1 but 2 full length albums over the last few months).
Their sound is really revolutionary. It's a blend of hyperpop, digicore and hip-hop, with really fun sampling (they have songs sampling everything from Maple Story to Red Velvet and Ikon). Expect these massive chopped up trap beats suddenly switching into Rave-style EDM and anything else.
I think if you're a fan of Big Bang, Cortis, Playboi Carti (especially Die Lit era), or Drain Gang/Sad Boys, I think you will love them, so check them out!
Here's a great first song because it has all 4 members and showcases the different styles of each (it sounds like 4 separate songs).
And this is one of the biggest songs from the album:
And here's a fun video that showcases their popularity in the underground Seoul scene right now:

Anyway, that's enough about System Seoul. What's been your fav hiphop album of the year? Share it and I'll give it a listen (if I haven't aready) and share my thoughts!
