First of all, i'm calling out all of y'alls that claim to care about vocals. Yujin pulled off the greatest vocal performance in Kpop history and it literally made no noise ANYWHERE. This is why i know Kpop fan discussion abt vocals exist solely to attack and discredit rival idols, nobody truly cares if their faves can actually sing. ![]()
And unlike the other hyped up "live" performance that we heard earlier this wekk, Yujin's vocals were genuine and true... i analyzed the notes she sang and Yujin missed the vast majority of them...which tells me this wasnt realtime autotuned, this was a real human voice with only normal effects like reverb, echo, etc being used.
Just listen to this. It will change your life.
Compare it to Mori if you want. Mori clearly had to deal with a much crappier sound system and sang much rawer with minimal effects, while Yujin got some stadium quality speakers going on, so the comparison might be unfair. But i actually prefer Yujin's performance.
It wasnt perfect of course. I was annoyed that Yujin skipped part of the second verse, but OH MY LORD imagine how upset i was when all of a sudden that musty actor Park Bubblegum totally ruined the flow of the song by singing part of the FUCKING CLIMAX. He needed to keep his mouth shut and plink those damn piano keys and let Yujin sing the whole damn song omg. ![]()

Aside from all that though...this song is already such an epic power ballad, with some of the most emotional gut punching lyrics in the genre, but hearing Yujin alternate between falsettoing and belting like a madman...i was shocked speechless and in tears by the end.
