Agreed that external factor is hilarious. Was just speaking to a friend that doesn't listen to kpop, and they remembered being bummed about their fornite collab being cancelled. They said they enjoyed their music and was looking forward to it. I think something like that is why the company had one of the biggest fumble because they were gaining ground in one of the toughest market and threw it all away.

It's no secret that a few months ago I was calling this the most boring year of K-Pop this entire decade, so the 5th Gen girls converting me into a fan is a very impressive accomplishment. Especially with the added context of the void caused by NewJeans' absence.

No, but at least they're for sure not going to be a one and done. A certain user on the first page, still clearly bothered by how they blocked aespa, is praying and hoping they fall off after a couple years, but KPDH isn't going anywhere unless Netflix and the creative team fumbles the follow ups.
