The most interesting and unique song (B-side) I've heard in a while

  • KiiiKiii released this. I just think it's so unique and interesting. Their vocals are really satisfying with the sequence of the notes and all, especially during the chorus.

  • Summoned like a genie! I’m going to doubleback on this one. I’m preoccupied at the moment. I will share that I think the song would be better with actual piano playing rather than looping the same recording.

Another missed opportunity was leaning a little more into a really infectious “percussive quality” associated with the Motown era. You can hear it in The Supreme’s “Baby Love”. You can catch it within the first 30 seconds of the start of the song. The elements were there but didn’t sync up effectively:

  • Alright, had time to listen to this with a more critical ear.

The high hat programming needs to be redone to work better with the beat. They also need to rework the accompaniment specifically during the hook. It feels more like a bridge. It uniquely works at 2:47 in the song but isn’t catchy enough to serve behind the hook. When it comes to the bars, I personally like 8 to set the beat on fire. Two is too basic.
