Like, I can't stand APT omfg i hate that thing lol, but then you come to a song like this and it just makes me want more Rose. I dont care what folks say about "cursive" singing, when it works, it works.
And it's not like this song or performance is perfect...im not sure it was live, coulda been lipsynced to a prerecorded track, and it definitely sounds autotuned. I was also let down at the end cause like almost every song in the past 10 years, even the bops, it just repeats itself mindlessly. SO FRUSTRATING. An epic bridge/outro coulda turned it into a literal masterpiece, akin to Driver's License ffs.
But even as flawed as it is, this song has so much musicality in the lyrics, the instrumentals and melody and Rose's vocal color, that none of those shortcomings mattered a bit. Rose left this boomer an emotional mess. That is what real music does to you. For you.
