Why do men's mum's go out of their way to act like "cool girls"?

  • Me, my aunt and cousins went to this tournament and hitched a ride with an ex classmate's family. They showed up early and I was finding my mask while they waited for a minute. My aunt told the mum that I was taking extra time "getting ready" cuz my classmate was gonna drive us there. That guy gave me hell in high school and acted like a creep throughout me growing up. Wtf. Good thing I thought he was the father and hopped in saying "hi uncle and aunty" :D Hopefully proved my two faced aunt wrong aswell or left the mum and son hella confused btw should I tell her not to say such things?

    Summary:

A mum son duo who have probably never seen women outside of soap operas. They probably thought I was gonna leave swishing my husband/boyfriend killer gown like "Excuse thy harlot self, dear lad and lady I have to go suck the money and life out of my lover".

I dunno if it's the internalised misogyny or if it's an Indian thing to treat men like they are above everyone else or cuz I had a mum that tries to tear me down at every oppurtunity and seeing mothers show affection to their kids makes me feel weird. I dunno but mother son duos need to chill fr.

  • im not sure i understood what you said but you're sure stereotyping as hell

dont think it has anything to do with "men's mum"

    maybe just an immature woman

my mom's probably the coolest person I know and she absolutely stays out of my personal relationships with my peers
