Share Your Spotify Stats - June 25

It’s the 1st of July, just like last month, I thought we could post our top artists and tracks over the past 4 weeks. (I had lots of fun seeing everyone’s lists!)

• The rules are simple, go to: https://www.statsforspotify.com

• Use the “last 4 weeks” tab to get your stats for June (or close enough)
• Optionally, give a little summary about what you’ve been enjoying.
• Comment of other people’s lists too, especially if you both enjoy a similar artist.

I’m going to post my top 10 songs and top 9 artists (simply because it fits into a grid).

For me this month has been dominated by Ano’s second album. It is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion, taking all her recent singles (as Japanese albums do) and adding in some excellent new tracks. My favourite of which is my number 1 track this month - Bone Bake Twilight Diary

I would give it a listen, you might be surprised. It combines both sides of her duality, starting off with a heavy punk rock riff and growling before going into a soaring chorus and cutesy bridges.

My number 2, Lia Lia, is a new artist (for me) I discovered through this very forum! She’s half German/Chinese and makes post punk bops combined with “anime aesthetics” and witty lyrics. I would recommend Cry In My Mercedes

As for the Kpop. I’ve been listening to a lot of Illit, QWER and ARTMS this month. Illit’s new EP, Bomb, really blew me away, I love every song on it but if I would recommend just one it would be Bamsopoong

It wasn’t quite for me, but I can see why he’s still popular! It actually sounded quite a lot like male kpop to my ears (the songs are really polished and refined) but of course with rock elements when he shows off his mad guitar skills. I wish his first album was on Spotify though, that’s the raw sound that’s more my sort of thing.

Feel free to use stats.fm next time! I checked it out and got a similar list to mine above. Tbh, I think Spotify itself has terrible reporting. For example, Famous is in my top 15 right now, but ADP do not even feature on my artist list. Same with Hearts2Hearts and Style, so I think they have tons of broken links in their database. It’s probably why they don’t give comprehensive stats as a subscribers perk but inside fold it into a shady “Spotify wrapped” each year that doesn’t give you very much data.
