There is an old Asian adage.
"A parent can raise 10 children, but 10 children find it hard to support a parent".
I saw that NMixx met with Doja Cat and Hearts2heart met with Meghan Trainor.
Which is commendable since companies are making their acts meet with famous names in the Pop.
However none of them seem to be willing to pay filial duty to the Senior Singer of Korean Pop.
Granted, the Senior Singer is like a stepmother who steals the biscuits from her stepchildren, claiming the most number of commercials and doing things like this
Chaeunwoo used to have CFs with Ahn Yujin
So it might look like an older , rich man stealing the heroine from the younger man, with the sexes reversed, but it cannot be denied that the Senior Singer is the richest figure in Korean Pop, excluding company owners like JYP (and she was a company owner too).
However the newer generation has left Korea behind.
They look after Pop Figures, like Doja Cat and Meghan Trainor above, since they won many times in Billboard Hot 100. At most, they look after BlackPink if they are female, BTS if they are male . I have not seen someone who looks after Stray Kids but there might be some I have missed.
None of them are considering the Senior Singer , who never charted in Billboard Hot 100.
The Senior Singer, who disciplined aespa , whose Savage was defeated by the Senior Singer's Strawberry Moon, and IVE, whose debut song Eleven was whipped by Winter Sleep, appears to want to reverse this situation in the summer of 2025.
I made a post about that. I don't know why it was removed.
But when all the newer acts are coming back, the Senior Singer is going to flex her muscles before them , most likely against Illit and Hearts2heart, in mid-late June but it could be early July.
It is also rumored that she will have a concert, although probably not global and a shot affair somewhere in Seoul to justify billing the fans for the 7th round of Uaena fan club.
But the trends have changed completely, and unless the Senior Singer at least charts in the Billboard Hot 100, which is unlikely because of her habit of writing her own lyrics, the 4.5th gen of Kpop will not really look after her since she is not relevant as far as the narrative of KPop is concerned.
