Pre-pandemic kpop fans, what do you think of post-pandemic kpop fans?

I'm not on social media but is there a massive difference?

I don't think so.
New Kpop fans in general are usually still quite happy people, before they see the dumb misery that are Kpop fanwars.

I think I liked the old slang Kpop fans used compared to the new slang. Back in 2nd generation was were I first encountered phrases like “throw shade” and “stay pressed” and I thought they were fun - now it’s all eating metaphors, “girl devoured”, “girl ate up and left no crumbs” blah blah blah. I very much understand this is me being: Old Man Yells At Cloud, I just find the modern slang to be so cringe at times.

I feel like kpop stans now are more cruel and micro analyze every mistake an idol makes. It’s like they enjoy hating on others more than they actually like the music.
Also it’s very easy to tell when someone’s a new gen fan bcs they speak on stuff that they weren’t even there to witness.
They act like they know more about the genre than veteran fans and most of the their “facts” on things aren’t even true.
Also fan calls are cringey. Bring back the regular fan meets.
