Which generation is/was the most FUN?

  • Which generation do you think was the most FUN?! 50

The result is only visible to the participants.

My opinion is that we're currently in the least fun generation. Others may feel different, but that's what I think after going through 3 whole generations, if we accept we're in the transition to 5th Gen.

3rd generation was my personal "peak" as a K-Pop fan, so I want to choose it, but honestly second generation K-Pop is still the champ for me.

It was a little camp, a little cheesy but it was also insanely, chaotically fun.

It also just felt more... colorful? And the idols were less restrained, unhinged at times even. It wasn't close to all sunshine and roses, but this week has proven this generation is capable of being just as problematic, so...

I vote for 2nd Gen for most fun. It made me a K-Pop fan after all.

Give me the gee gee gee gee babies babies, ring ding dongs, wow fantastic babies and every put your hands up :pepe-dj:

    Public poll by the way.

  • I will now spam more second generation classics, since this is a week of celebration for them. Yes, i arbitrarily decided it

    So. Much. FUN

  • I'm in the minority, but 1st gen. The hairstyles and wardrobe were flamboyant especially when it came to soloists like Lee Junghyun.

I know exactly what you're referring in that stage.

You didn't even have to ask

  • Gotta agree with 3rd

More chaos, more fun, more variation in styles of music, idols seemed more open, there was more variety stuff and also a lot more of those TV shows like Running Man etc. Brand deals were something to be excited about, idols weren't getting them before they even sung a single song publicly.

4th Gen everything started feeling more serious, more reserved and variety started falling off

5th gen feels really controlled and homogenised.

  • The only thing the current generation has over previous generations is that it's MUCH easier to see groups live, because they start touring the world in a heartbeat now.

I literally had to wait NINE years for an official Mamamoo tour to come to the US. Before that, it was either festivals/conventions or I had to fly my ass to Asia.

I recently got to see aespa without even booking a flight. Just a quick drive.

I hear ya bud, even though some of these groups are doing tours where 40% of the concert is cover songs because they are touring without having any meaty, solid discography yet.

Not naming names there of course.

Fans dont care about this, got to see my 2nd favorite group live only 8 months after their debut. Emphasis on the live, no lip syncing in those covers.

  • I'll have to say 2nd generation because it brought me back into KPOP.

Granted, I was only a fan of one artist -- Girls' Generation -- but it was always a blast to look forward their new music for me.

  • As in fun it'll always be 2nd gen, they had fun, fun stages, fun songs, fun variety contents, fun fun fun. End of 3rd gen it started to become not so funny and 4th gen it became a funeral :pepe-just-smile:

And now one of your favs is out here doing funeral concepts
