TikTok is legally being banned in the US from Sunday/tomorrow 
i think itโs why other social media like instagram are changing their layouts/ format trying to gain TikTok users

I don't think it'll matter much in the long run. Admittedly I never got the appeal of TikTok, but I'd say YouTube and even Instagram are significantly more important platforms for promoting Kpop than TikTok. But if they stop trying to appeal to the TikTok crowd who lack the attention span to listen to a song that's more than a minute long, all the better.
They'll ban that too.

Honestly I feel like kpop was kind of ahead of its time because kpop groups/idols always had like popular dances and trends, and idols would go on shows and even live performance dance covers so I don't think much will change in that regard. I also hope we get longer songs, and just more experimentation. I just want these companies to not hop on to every music trend for their artist I'd love to hear kpop that doesn't sound like what's on western radio

The real reason is they want people using their own apps like Facebook and Instagram.

Because Musk and Zuckerberg are losing lots of money with 170 million subscribers going with TikTok. All this ban will do is piss people off, wonโt make them go back to Facebook, X, or instagram. People are already flocking to Rednote and Lemon8
