I dont remember if there any explanation or not. What i remember that the rules changed for 2 things. First is what i explain before. Second is about percentages voting where voted from korea was more weightened than international voted. And both ware announced in the last episode.

especially when we consider that I-LAND 2 was on MNet and they did things by the book all top 5 candidates in fanvoting made it to the group, and judges/mentors added 2 more, the ones which were 6th and 7th in fanvoting
