Do people from the church in your country approach others on the street or ask what your religion is?
In my country, only Jehova's witnesses approach others to talk about religion (it's easy to avoid them though), otherwise no one will bother you. So if someone doesn't want to go to church or talk about their beliefs, they can just keep it to themselves.
I think everyone's beliefs should be their own private matter. I hope you can live there peacefully, without anyone asking you about it.

My country is the United States. An elderly woman from a church I used to attend approached me today, but at least she didn’t speak to me about anything related to Christianity. Her mere presence bugs me because I want to disconnect myself from church.

I understand, it can be uncomfortable, especially because they may ask you why you no longer attend.
Maybe after a while, they will stop approaching you. But if it bugs you that they live in the same place as you, I guess moving could help with this, if it's possible for you.
There was a group of church goers who always stayed in the church until the pastor left.
I think it was likely during the late 2010s in which a new batch of church members started attending the church under a different pastor.
And the elderly woman is the only church member that lives in the same area as me (that I know of)

Because church is a waste of my time. I'd rather buy food I find delicious than attend a church.
