I agree, Spotify used to be a pretty good indication, but with all the playlist manipulation and payola, it’s becoming harder to trust. and with Apple and YT Music continuing to grow in market share, Spotify is losing its relevance as a benchmark for what’s popular

I'm okay with that honestly. I've never liked Spotify being such a big component of chart discussions, and I only begrudgingly started to keep tabs on them since NewJeans did big numbers on it.
I would not be sad to see it lose relevance

Lol, yeah. i mean I understand it was popular song and maybe ai might be recommended to me. But it was strange since I hide the song, but it kept coming.
