Virtual Idols ending your faves on Melon, 7 songs on Top 10

  • They are real people, and that's why I can't understand why these anime characters are needed. People obviously following them because "they" look like cute anime boys.

As for the charts, well, they're trending for a couple of hours and they're leaving the chart.

I mean, if people actually like them, why are they only streaming their songs between 10PM and 2AM?😅

It's probably trying to hop on to the vtuber trend in Korea.

And also, they are 2nd gen idols who didn't make it back then, and by doing this it gives them a platform to interact with fans in a different way

    Competition is so huge now

  • I wish you had left out AI in the title, because people still believe this group is AI but you yourself know better. The conversation goes nowhere if the definition of generative artificial intelligence gets muddied.

Plave are closer related to how movies and video games are made. They have nothing to do with generative AI.

People can have problems with virtual idols and youtubers and they can have problems with AI. In this case, the two topics of conversation aren't linked.

The topic of AI had its place for the ARTMS teasers made by MODHAUS or the song Masquerade by MIDNATT that used AI to release it in 6 languages.

MIDNATT is actually the "first AI powered artist" according to HYBE. That's where AI discussion makes sense. It doesn't around Plave.

Maybe I should rename it to virtual idols

Changed the title of the thread from “AI ending your faves on Melon, 7 songs on Top 10” to “Virtual Idols ending your faves on Melon, 7 songs on Top 10”.
  • don’t think they classify as AI because there’s real ppl voicing these cartoons and stuff

Yeah, I know that, but I don't know, it's such a shame and a massive hypocrisy too, because without the animated characters people would ignore them. I don't know if I'd do something like this as a singer.

The competition is always huge, but doing this, will only give them a short period of success, probably.

Lowkey this might suit me better because I won't get stalked by crazy fans
