(KPop Memories) 2011 Music Bank at Tokyo Dome - when a Tokyo Dome concert meant something

  • On Mar 11, 2011, the Tohoku Quake in Japan occurred.

Korean music shows decided to invade Japan in earnest, with the excuse of 'consoling' the people of Japan, and it made big headways.

At that time, activities of DBSK, the two member version, were retarded in Japan because AVAX supported JYJ.

Although TVXQ did have a concert at Tokyo Dome in 2009, JYJ had a concert there in 2010 but not DBSK.

So this was an event arranged by SM to put DBSK back to Tokyo Dome, circumventing AVAX' machinations.

It featured these people. The main draw was , of course, DBSK

However, it featured some other people who were unlikely to be part of KPop.

The complete list of people who were there are like this

    DBSK, Kara, SNSD

    2PM, Beast, 4Minute

    UKiss, Secret, Infinite, Rainbow

And then it featured some people who were quite questionable

    Baek Jiyoung

Park Hyunbin, a trottist popular at that time (He got into a big traffic accident and basically semi-retired around 2016)

    Rania (barely remembered)

    X-5 (who were they?)

Of course, no whyknock post is really complete without mentioning a certain domesticist

Why these questionable people got into this august list is something which will remain in mystery.

Partially thanks to this attempt to reintroduce DBSK to Tokyo Dome, it would have 30 more events at there, although its most recent Japanese venture scored only 2 days of concert at that location.

However it was a strong place to beat and both Kara and SNSD only could manage one day at there.

Other than they, among those who performed at Tokyo Dome on that event, only 2PM was able to reenter Tokyo Dome, in 2016/

    =============

Past forward 14 years, other than DBSK who still has some popularity in Japan, although now overshadowed by other acts,

all of the rest have been swept away by the sands of time.

However, with the Nissan Stadium now being recognized as the highest venue of Japan, Tokyo Dome has become an 'entry' point for a higher class act, not the ultimate goal.

Has had (pr will in near future) concerts or other events there.

With these acts having events at Tokyo Dome, it seems a certain domesticist, who was 18 at that time but now 1,345, having raised an audience of 34,000 at Yokohama and 20,000 at Osaka,

Might be emboldened enough to reenter three in 2025 or 26.

If she enters there, that means anyone can enter Tokyo Dome, and nugus will show up there quite often.
