IU is very successful worldwide. Sure, she never promoted herself in Europe or America as a SINGER, but a lot of people know her from movies and Kdramas. Even tho our "knocking troll" says she never left Korea or made music for foreign fans, it's completely untrue, especially if you listen to her B-sides too. She didn't leave ASIA, not Korea. A lot of her songs were on Billboard, and not just her collabs with mainstream singers like Suga. She's charting in the US since 2011 or 2013, I think. She achieved worldwide success without promoting herself. She #3 on Rolling Stones' best Kpop songs of all-time, too. You can't be there if you don't make music for a wider audience.

IU is my favorite Korean soloist. Her discography is much more diverse than what it seems at first and her sense of story-telling is great. Her music is really moving.

I love this song so much, too! Also, most people don't like her "first" song "Lost Child", because they think it's dated, and even she's not really a fan of it because it's hard to sing, but it's such an amazing song. Also, if you read her lyrics too Sugary-Salt you will love her songs even more.

This is her debut video with the same song, but I hate this, because some people in the audience screamed at her: "PIG!" and another things too. The fact that she didn't even flinch and endured so much hate for two years after this proves why she deserves all the love. She's the prime example when your haters became your fans.
