Why do people like Money Haist and why are there so many versions of it?

I heard that so many countries made their own version of that show and that the original apparently originates from Mexico. Never watched it so I was a bit confused when I heard many countries remade it

BTW here in Germany a Kebap-shop chain opend, who is inspired by the name of the German version of that show and when I first ever saw such a kebap place I was like "What the actual fuck is this?"
