how many idols do you think are really passionate about music and performing? how many of them do you think are just in it for the fame and fortune?

  • I'd say at least 90% will be passionate about music or performing with the other 10% being super talented/ geniuses.

Without being passionate they won't make it in the industry. There is intense amount of competition these days. They have to train basically 24/7 from 12yo just for a slim chance to debut. I hear those trainee audition programs generally can have up to 10,000 applicants for like 10 spots and then maybe only a few of them end up being able to debut in a group.

Even Huh Yunjin was about to quit and enrolled in college in the USA. But she received a call at the last minute to debut in LSF and shes super passionate.

Of course a lot will also be doing it for the fame and celebrity status as well but they will still be passionate about performing and singing as that is what they will be doing 24/7 as a trainee.

  • Hitomi, Nako

They still want to sing/dance. They are just not popular/talented enough for a korean company to sign them into a kpop group. If a korean company wanted to sign them to a group right now, they will be literally flying to korea on the first flight that is available to sign the contract.

    So its 10/12. About 90%.

They're both going to act/variety in Japan, they've already made a name for themselves there. Why would they come back to Korea and sign with some nugu label and waste away like poor Juri?

They would come back only for an Izone reunion project, which wont happen until Ive is disbanded.

  • They're both going to act/variety in Japan,

Thats because they have no other choice. Can't stay in AKB48 forever with no growth potential. It was mentioned they wanted to stay in Korea in a lot of articles during the Izone disbandment period, but in the end it never happened. Only Sakura managed to sign with a company.

Why would they come back to Korea and sign with some nugu label

Because they are passionate about singing and performing in korea?
