Perfect Night and I am not even much of a LSF fan.
Gods sounds so typical of Riot's music that it feels very boring. I wouldn't even recognize NewJeans if I didn't know it was made by them beforehand. Ppl say it needs to feel "hype" but last years' Star Walking did sound different than most of World's songs and it was the only one I liked.
Video wise of course Gods is way better but I rather have a good song than a nice music video -
If NewJeans had stronger vocals i think i would like GODS more, i liked Perfect Night a bit more

Hmmm.
I go on long walks in nature all the time, and Perfect Night gets cycled through my playlist way more frequently than Gods.
Gods is still a go-to when I'm in the gym and need to finish a set strong though. The dopamine and adrenaline hit is REAL when that "Once you play God!" kicks in
But "I got a credit card and some good company" is hard to top

I don't like Gods, but not for the reasons some might think. It's not because it's a New Jeans song, it's because it doesn't really sound anything like a New Jeans song.
It's SO LoL coded to the point where a) it almost sounds like it should be an Imagine Dragons song and b) as others have pointed out, it could be sung by nearly anyone without much change. And when measured as an LoL song, there are other, better LoL songs, again regardless of who the singers are.
Perfect Night at least has a bit of LSF dna in it.

But why do y’all want Gods to sound like an average Newjeans song though? It’s not like Newjeans sound in the first place will fit with Riot games.
I personally don’t see the issue why Newjeans can’t change their sound to adapt. Kinda feels like they are being boxed imo

Both songs are mid, but Gods is a blt more mid than PN, PN has a great choreo and some fun lyrics so i chose that.
I wish LSRFM had chosen Impurities with English lyrics, that song deserved to their breakthrough national hit but PN will get that title

It's more that it's so generically Riot Games/LoL. Even among the selection of those songs it's... just there. Theres nothing that makes it stand out in any respect.
I feel that if you're going to get a famous/noteworthy artist or group to do a song for your brand, you at least try and inject a BIT of that groups dna into the song. Right?
