  • Nah, after meeting a lot of Koreans in my life, I've encountered many who don't really have a high spice tolerance. I think it's a rare sight for those who rarely meet or work with them.

there's a difference between mild tolerance and zero tolerance. I've been on work assignments in Seoul for months at a time. Koreans than have zero tolerance to spicy food are few and far between. It's like trying to find a Korean that can't drink.

You work there for months only lol to have this stereotypes? My husband is a Korean and we visit Korea every years. Many of them didn't like to eat spicy food too, just like in any other country where people love to associate with spice, like Thailand and India. It's not uncommon at all, lol.

Moreover, a lot of them, especially women, also don't drink. Most of them have obviously tried alcohol but didn't enjoy it. My whole husband's family doesn't drink at all. His sister doesn't enjoy spicy food and is a very picky eater.

It's easy to accept that stereotypes are stupid. It's just like saying all Asians are good at math, or saying we all eat dogs or cats, which is obviously not true, lol.
