Some stuff stores do since covid?

  • What are some random or weird things stores do in your area now since covid exist?

One store in my city for example lets you book a meeting online and if you walk to them you need to show them the e-mail that says you booked the meeting and than you have 15 minutes (wich is too short) to shop there. After 10 minutes a voice from the speakers will than inform you that you have 5 minutes left and if the time runs up they do the same but saying that you have to go to the cash register instead.

Most other stores either let you in but only a few people at the same time or they give you 30 minutes only to not have the store too crowed at some point

I went there yesterday to buy a lamp and some markers to draw but the time was not enough so I try to get a new meeting for today to shop the rest I want

  • Strange? It's not strange to try to keep people from being sick.

But things stores are doing in my area:

    - Requiring masks

    - Allowing only a certain number of people per square foot, to allow proper distancing

    - Assigning an employee to wipe down carts and baskets between each use

    - Some types of businesses require appointments now

    - Using plexiglass shields between customers and employees

    - Requiring employees to wear gloves, so they can touch things like credit cards without risk

    - Certain types of business I've been to actually provide customers with gloves as well, so they can touch things safely

  • we've been good for a good solid 10 months lol

    No masks or anything?

For me I think a lot of stores are different. I've been into some places where they don't even require masks, one of them always has a lot of people...some places they enforce it hard. Once my mom walked into Walmart with no facial protection and everyone was pretty fine with it except for some awkward stares. :eyes:

I'm in Australia remember...and here in the state we're I'm from (but for a 1 week lockdown due to one infection) we've been mask free social distance (its still stated to be required but no one gives a damn anymore) for 10 months...
